Jehan Idassi
Lives in MD Bio: Hello. My name is Jehan Idsassi and I am currently a student in the Science & Technology Program at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. My ambitions and goals are set towards being a neurosurgeon as it intrigues me greatly. I currently volunteer at Peer Tutors of Maryland where I tutor young children from grades 1 to 5 on mathematics. I put great effort into teaching these young children as it provides me with the skills needed to make an impact. I also currently volunteer at a local hospital and try to make it at least once every week to help out as much as I can. I also volunteer at a local library to help young children who may be struggling to learn English through the Language Studies program. I fluently know 4 languages other than English, and I am trying to learn the 4th one by taking college leveled French courses. One of the many things I enjoy doing in my free time is taking photos, there is a certain peacefulness about photography and how you can capture the perfect moment. After high school, I plan on going to a top college to help me succeed in my goal to become a neurosurgeon. I have had an interest in STEM for as long as I can remember and thus I would like to have a career in the very thing I first loved. Finally, I am certain with my dedication and hard work I can make a great impact as I have not done any outstanding work such as cure Cancer however, I represent a high school student who would like to shape her future.
